Part 1, The West Highland Lines between Glasgow, Oban & Fort William.

The following images feature steam hauled traffic on the West Highland Lines from Glasgow to Oban and Fort William. All are pre 2020 year and are chartered excursions. Locomotives include ex LNER K1, K3 & K4 plus British Railways 5MT ‘BLACK 5s’. The K4 ‘The Great Marquis’ features regularily, but is now withdrawn from service. Images of the ‘Great Marquis’ in steam are now historic. 

The images are chiefly included for their railway interest, rather than as photographic essays. Originals exist as large high quality files.
