Loch Eil to Glen Shiel

This is a large and varied area. It can be described as the land between the A830, Fort William to Mallaig road and the A87 Invergarry to Kyle of Lochalsh roads. The area is roadless except for very minor, but long single track roads which run along the north shores of Loch Arkaig and Loch Cuich (some maps display Quoich). The latter as far as Kinloch Hourn.
The area includes the Glenfinnan hills, The hills between Loch Arkaig and Loch Cuich to Glen Garry, Knoydart and the Mountains from Loch Cuich to south of the Glen Shiel A87 road.
The images have been split into three gallery sections for ease of viewing. 1., The Glennfinan Hills, Loch Arkaig and Loch Cuich;  2., the hills comprising the mountains on the south side of Glen Shiel and 3., The Knoydart Hills. The division is somewhat arbitrary since the views from the mountains in one area frequently overlap  the mountains in the other area.

1. The Glenfinnan Hills, the Loch Arkaig and Loch Cuich Hill images.

2. South Glen Shiel. South Clunie Ridge and The Saddle.
