Image 4 ‘Winter Sunrise above Glencoe

Image 16 ‘Waiting for sunrise’.

This image was taken on the same day and just 18 minutes before  the ‘Winter Sunrise’ picture. Taken at 08.10hrs, 30 seconds before the sun just peeked above the distant horizon of the Glen Lyon hills. The shoulder of Beinn á Chrùlaiste is on the left and on the right the long ridge of Buchaille Etive Mor. In between, under the cloud, lies Glencoe and south east over Rannoch Moor to the Breadalbane hills. Set on a tripod and remotely controlled, using the Sony WIFI App and time delay. The image includes the author and is a pan of two exposures.                  ISO 250, f6.3 @ 1/125. Lens Sony FE 24-70mm F4ZA, set to 24mm.

Taken at 08.28hrs (Temp., -10.6C) on 31st January 2019 from Stob Mhic Mhartuin, on the north side of Glencoe. The first rays of winter sun catch the summits of the Bidean nam Bian mountain group on the south side of Glencoe.                                                                                         Camera; Sony A7R III, 24-70 lens @ 31mm, ISO 250, F6.3 @ 1/200
